By Wednesday night, I was in so much excruciating pain, I couldn't walk and could barely move. It felt like someone was stabbing the side of my hips with daggers over and over again. I was planning on going to Urgent Care in the morning to get some strong medicine to make the pain tolerable, but I knew it would just be masking the pain and I wouldn't get any permanent relief. I've had arthritis in my hips since I was 12 years old and I've always been told there was nothing I could do except take meds for pain. My old doctors also put me on crutches for a while when I was younger to try to keep me from putting any strain on my hips. On Thursday morning, I decided to go to Dr. Irwin's office and see if I could get any help. I knew that he'd at least be able to adjust my lower back and help me out a little bit. Even though I could barely walk, I forced myself to go in. Grasping my hips tightly and taking small, inch long strides, I made it into the front door in tears. I went right in to get adjusted. Dr. Irwin had never seen me in that much pain before. He adjusted my hips and worked on some pressure points in my hips to loosen up the muscles and had me do some stretches. I got up off the table and couldn't believe the difference! The excruciating pain was gone! I could walk! I walked out of there with a giant smile on my face and this time it was tears of joy running down my face instead of tears of pain. And now, almost a week later, I still have no pain! I am amazed at the fantastic care I received from Dr. Irwin! I have been telling everyone I know about it! I have never received such fast, immediate relief that lasts like this! What a wonderful experience! Cindy - After the auto accident, I lost some sense of smell and taste. My allergist said this can happen in those type of accidents or it could be from allergies.
